Minister announces additional funding for NZ Landcare Trust.

Management of waterways and native flora and fauna near farm land will be improved as a result of a funding boost for the NZ Landcare Trust, Environment Minister Nick Smith announced on Monday 25th October.

The announcement was made at the local premiere of 'Water Whisperers Tangaroa' in Takaka, Golden Bay, the location for the Aorere River Project where NZ Landcare Trust has successfully worked with the local community to help improve water quality.

NZ Landcare Trust Chair Richard Thompson says "We are simply thrilled, this is a huge vote of confidence in the Trust and the way we work."
