Wealth Princess Aiming For Stradbroke Handicap

Sprint sensation Wealth Princess (pictured right) will be aimed at a tilt at the Group 1 $1 million Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) in Brisbane on June 12.

Trainer Brent Gillovic confirmed the Stradbroke Handicap will be the mid-winter target for the promising mare after her close second placing in the Group 1 Waikato Draught Sprint (1400m) earlier this month.

At her last start Wealth Princess, owned by Victor Ngai, went within a whisker of a a valuable Group 1 success when she beat all but Tavistock home in the $200,000 Waikato Draught Sprint (1400m) at Te Rapa last month.

Coup Align Aiming For Melbourne In Spring

Top sprinter Coup Align (pictured right) has been withdrawn from the S$1 million Krisflyer International Sprint in Singapore on May 16.

Riccarton trainer Michael Pitman has instead decided to turn Highview Stud-bred Coup Align out for a spell until May.

Excellent 2010 Sales Returns For Highview Sires

The 2010 Karaka Yearling Sales series provided excellent returns for breeders who sold progeny of Highview Stud stallions Danroad (pictured right) and Align through the ring.

Both stallions achieved an average price per yearling of approximately five times their 2007 service fee.
